Tools Window

The Tools Window has four tabs, Album, Layout, Image and Preview, each with a different set of tools, which we’ll discuss on the pages that follow.

You can access the various sets of tools by clicking on the appropriate tab, or you can open them up into separate palettes. To do so, click on the arrow icons next to each tab name.

You can close a palette by clicking on its Close box, but you cannot close the main Tools Window unless you also close the Album Layout Window.

How auto-focus affects tool palette behaviour

If you have auto-focus turned on, the palettes will automatically come to the front and activate as you roll over them. If auto-focus is turned off, your first click on the window will just activate it, and you'll need to click again to perform the action you want.
