Changing sort order
You can sort images by filename, date and time and file size using the Sort By pop-up at the top of the screen. Date and time is a great way to merge images from two cameras. You can also sort by EXIF tag, in which case a second pop-up appears to allow you to choose which tag.
You cannot change the sort order of individual images in Groups, but you can move individual images within Collections by dragging and dropping. This individual sort order will be lost if you change the overall sort order as described in the previous paragraph.
Rejecting and deleting images

Once you’ve selected an image (or images) you can:
-
Hit the Reject button to move the image to the Reject Group, or
-
Click the Delete button to remove it from the Event completely (Photojunction will delete the proxy but your high-res files won’t be touched).
-
You can also drag selected images to the Reject Group, or use the contextual right-click menu (CTRL-Click on a one-button Mac).
rotating images
You can rotate the images if necessary using the buttons at the top of the screen, or by right-clicking. It's important to bear in mind that if the proxy needs rotating, it's because the original high-res does too. When you export, therefore, Photojunction will rotate the high-res before adding it to your page layout:
-
Don't then go and rotate the high-res yourself (independently of Photojunction) or you could end up with unexpected results in your exports.
-
Beware of rotation tags in your high-res metadata (eg camera auto-rotate tags) that can cause Photoshop's scripting to add an unexpected "rotation".
Photojunction monitors your images for problems like this, but this is one of the main reasons you should check your high-res exports before sending them for printing.
Moving images between Groups and Collections
Once you’ve selected an image (or images) you can move it to a new Group or Collection by:
Adding more images

You can add more images to the Event at any time by clicking the More button at the top of the screen and selecting Import More Images. This opens a dialogue window to browse for additional files or folders.
adding notes

You can add Notes about individual images using the contextual right-click menu (CTRL-Click on a one-button Mac). These notes will be added to the appropriate Reports. An icon will appear on the thumbnail to show that Notes exist for that image.
Templates

Photojunction automatically saves templates of your album design layouts as you work. Click here for more about using and managing templates. |
