The Photojunction Store has been up and running for nearly a month, which means very soon, it’s payday for those who have made some sales.

We know it’s unusual to get excited about paying others, but we’re super excited about the number of people who are due to receive a wee boost to their income this month. Including one who will have to figure out what to do with the extra US$200 they’ve made!

Selling your work in the Photojunction Store is easy-peasy, so make sure you don’t miss out on a potential payday next month, and get your stuff uploaded!

Cheers, Danny

Last night we released PJ Remix version 1.32 beta.

We’re pretty excited about some of the improvements and we’ve already had some great feedback.

In this version we’ve focused heavily on refining current features. Alignment’s a big one…

We’ve added anchors (dots) to the alignment lines to indicate which apertures are perfectly aligned with each other.

And we’ve made the snap-to guides even stickier to ensure your apertures snap in to alignment from even further out.

You may have also noticed the red notification symbol above the Photojunction Store link on the home page. That’ll show you the number of new uploads to the Photojuntion Store since your last visit, so you’ll always know when there’s something new to check out.

What do you think about PJ Remix 1.32?  We’d love to know.

When you contact Photojunction support about a issue you’re having, Ian C, Christine or myself  always aim to get back to you within one business day.

But if you’re after a quicker fix, we’d suggest you check out the wealth of information we’ve got online first.

Here are the best places to find specific information about Photojunction:

Photojunction Support Forums: http://photojunction.com/forums/

Photojunction Blog: http://photojunction.com/blog/

Photojunction Remix help resource guide: http://photojunction.com/blog/remix/

Photojunction Website: http://photojunction.com/

The quickest way to find articles, threads or pages relating to your issue is to use the search function available for each of these resources (it’s usually in the top right corner of the page).

Type in a phrase or a couple of keywords relating to your problem, and results matching your search criteria will be returned.

One last point – if you do email Photojunction support, it’s a big help if you can give us some idea about what your issue is, in the subject line of your email – ie subject line: ‘FTP Upload problem‘ or subject line: ‘Alignment issue:)

Reflective

Sometimes it’s nice to reminisce…

  • When we started to rewrite Photojunction we named the master file “PJ Jr.” as a joke – that name still stands as our project name today… some 3 years later.
  • All the full time developers we started with for the rewrite, are still with us.
  • It took 3,000 development hours to get Remix to a stage where we could send it to other staff to have a look.  That would’ve taken one person a year and a half to complete on their own.
  • My personal favourite email… One of our beta testers emailed to tell us she considered PJ Remix to be a ‘metro’ bit of software. The developers were very excited as it’s a term not often used in the same sentence as ’software developers’ ;)

We’ve come a long, long way and there is still plenty to do, so I’ll stop blogging and get back to it.

Cheers, Danny

This screen appears immediately after you send your album order, and that blue link is a quick-smart way to squeeze the value out of the work you’ve just done and help boost your income.

Click it, and the templates from the album you’ve just designed, confirmed and ordered will be automatically uploaded to the Photojunction Store ready to be sold.

All you’ll have to do is fill out a few important details in the Sell window, like a short item description and how much you want to sell your collection for, and hit Done.

Try it next time you send an order.

Cheers, Nigel

Upload History

There’s a lot you can do from the comfort of the Photojunction start window…

  • Start a new project or browse existing ones
  • Navigate to the Photojunction website, classroom movies or Forum
  • Access the new Photojunction Store

And if you’re a Queensberry user, you can even check out your order history and see your past, present or pending uploads.

Here’s how:

Open Photojunction and on the start window, click ‘Show Upload History‘ (bottom left hand corner).

The Upload History window will drop down.

order history

From here you’ll be able to see important order and upload details like the Product Reference and your Order ID. Restart, pause, open or delete current uploads or orders. And filter your orders to make them easier to find and view.

Cool eh?

Hope this helps
